Bridesmaids- FEMALE VERSION OF THE HANGOVER!

Went to the cinema's with my mam to watch Bridesmaids, the newly released film. It really does live up to the reviews of being the female version of The Hangover(for the small popullation of people who don't know what that is, it is a highly successful film which I'm pretty sure was awarded film of the year in 2010?)
  It's a good laugh however, it's definitely a Chick Flick! Going to try and explain a simple explanation of the storyline...
 Annie, is a romantically unattached failed bakery owner who fears she's losing her bestfriend, Lillian. When Lillian announces she's gotten engaged Annie's obviously excited to be a part of creating Lillian's wedding. Annie starts to worry as Lillian grows close to Helen, a wealthy and beautiful new friend who quickly takes control of planning all the pre-wedding events(Hen Do's etc). On top of the main storyline of a female friendship being torn apart, the movie adds a romantic trace for Annie. She starts the film by being a handsome Ted's banker*, but develops a lovely flirtation with an Irish cop named Rhodes after he pulls her over one night thinking she's driving drunk. As Annie's insecurity destroys any chance of the blossoming relationship from working out, she also feels the most important friendship in her life slipping away.
  In the end, Lillian and Annie make up after a lot of hiccups and Annie actually being banned from the wedding and any celebrations before hand; she ditches Ted then Annie and Rhodes become an item.

A worthwhile watch!

*Banker- Someone who is a safe option but they don't actually feel anything towards them.

Just a casual display of my unconditional love for Beyonce!

Hiy everyone!
    Thought I'd just write about how much I love our girl Beyonce, and her fab new album, '4'. She's easily, if not THE best, definitely one of the best things to happen in pop and R&B history! I love any work of Beyonce but I must admit, this is by far my favourite album she's ever released! It's an amazing example of her soulful voice. It's on sale now on iTunes and in any worth-while-visiting music stores. Go buy it! I did, best thing I think I've ever done!
   My favourite song at the minute is, unsurprisingly, one of hers! It's called 'Best Thing I Never Had'. Give it a listen, see what you think... I don't see how anyone couldn't love it as much as I do! One word, sensational.

Jessie J's album review.

Just thought I'd share with you, an extract from my album review of Jessie J's album 'Who You Are' that I wrote in english...

After her smash-hit debut single 'Do It Like a Dude', Jessie's adoring fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of this amazing album.
  On the Album, Jessie's song lyrics are entirely wrote by herself. A lot of the words in her songs rhyme or sound very similar making the songs catchier and therefore, easier to remember. She uses alot of the ghetto-st6yle lyrics as her audience is a young adult generation. For example: 'ain't', 'damn', 'ka-ching', 'ba-ling' and 'gon'. The songs consist of lyrics that are easy to relate to; most of them are about believable situations that the listener could be experiencing themselves, which is one of the many reasons Jessie J and her music is so in demand! The tracks refer to problems always ending with a solution to the problem. Issues such as bullying in 'Who's laughing Now', heartbreaks in 'Casulaty of Love' and not being accepted for who you are in 'Nobody's Perfect'. This could positively give the listeners some inspiration.

My First Media Post!

Dear Bloggers!

     Over this last school term we've been researching all about the media and it's affects on the public, readers, listeners etc etc. We have looked at a wide variety of things under the topic of media. My favourtie part of it was looing at how the reporters decide whether they're against or for the person they're writing about, for example: David Beckham. The reporters always see David in a positive light.

     We watched a small clip of an interview with David and his wife Victoria as they were getting asked about David's allegations of an affair. Even in this situation, David was made out to be a perfect person. The media's point of view has a major effect on the publics perspective of who they're writing about! I personally liked David without the Media's angelic input.
